It's a beautiful day outside. I got to get out and walk at lunch for a change. Tomorrow and Wednesday are shaping up to be more of the same.
Spring is on it's way. We haven't really had much of a winter so it's time for Mother Nature to stop frontin' and make it spring already. We did have a nice snow day this past weekend though. Most areas got 4 inches or more. That's a blizzard in Memphis. Sadly the winter wonderland we woke up to Saturday morning has melted back into regular old Memphis today. Looking at the weather trend for the next couple of weeks it would appear that we're done with the cold weather so let's just declare it spring and call it a day.

I'm so tired this morning. I went to bed way too late last night. We had our second soccer game of the season last night. That seriously restricted 'us time' with my wife so we had to squeeze that in after the game. Once I was ready to finally go to bed I remembered that I hadn't iced down my leg. My Dad reminded me last week that I need to start doing that due to the fact that a) I have a surgically repaired knee and b) I'm over 30 now (groan). So by the time I finished icing my knee down it was almost 12:30. I slept like a rock but not for long since I had to get up at 6. That's a recipe for tiredness. I'd love to go for a walk at lunch to knock the cobwebs out but I have errands to run. It's all down hill after lunch though so I'll be alright (if I don't nod off first).

We're not used to temps in the teens with wind chill in the single digits. It's cold but I like it. I'm savoring it wile I can because once this cold front moves through we're back into the mid to upper 60's next week. That's practically t-shirt weather now. The Black Negro decided it wanted to act up this morning. (Actually I'm sure I pressed a button or something while putting him in pocket or something but whatever.) When I put him in the dock on my desk this morning and hit play it had started over at song number one in the playlist. Since it's a randomly shuffled playlist it started with a different song than I originally heard when I got up this morning. As a result I lost the list of songs I've been listening to so far this morning. I was surprised to see that I haven't done one of these things since 11/29. I definitely haven't NOT been listening to music since that time. I can't think of the last time I went a day without listening to some form of music on my ipod or computer or *gasp* on the radio. December was just crazy around here as I'm sure it was for everyone. My normal blogging time (here at work *gasp*) was cut way down due to an inordinately busy December. It's usually dead around here in December but not this year. I guess folks were trying to get their grind on in hopes of getting a bigger merit reward this spring. But whatever. This is the mix. It's the first one of the year. Yaaay...?

Classic Pumpkins. I have yet to decide if I like the newly formed Smashing Pumpkins. Billy Corgan's signature nasal vocals are still there and the band's sound is similar but it just doesn't quite feel like the old band. I'll reserve judgement until I can give the new album a few more listens though.

Every time I hear this song I always find it odd that U2 takes a back seat on a song they made famous. Kind of like Sting singing behind Diddy and Faith Evans performing I'll Be Missing You at the VMA's a few years ago. That being said I like Mary J's version of this classic better than the original.
