I'm so tired this morning. I went to bed way too late last night. We had our second soccer game of the season last night. That seriously restricted 'us time' with my wife so we had to squeeze that in after the game. Once I was ready to finally go to bed I remembered that I hadn't iced down my leg. My Dad reminded me last week that I need to start doing that due to the fact that a) I have a surgically repaired knee and b) I'm over 30 now (groan). So by the time I finished icing my knee down it was almost 12:30. I slept like a rock but not for long since I had to get up at 6. That's a recipe for tiredness. I'd love to go for a walk at lunch to knock the cobwebs out but I have errands to run. It's all down hill after lunch though so I'll be alright (if I don't nod off first).

I'm feeling kind of blah today. Hump day was yesterday. Friday is tomorrow. Today is blah day. I got a good night's sleep in terms of the amount of time I slept but I don't feel rested. I've got a dull headache. I just feel blah. I'll head out for my walk in an hour or so. Hopefully that will help clear my head because I'm out of it right now.

- U2 - In A Little While - All That you Can't Leave Behind
- C+C Music Factory - Things That Make You Go Hmmmm... - Gonna Make You Sweat
This song always makes me think about the bit Arsenio used to do from time to time. C+C played half time at a Grizzlies game this past season. I wanted to go just to see if they had Martha Nash singing the vocals or some other imposter lip-syncing like back in the day.

- LA Symphony - Money Song - Hip Hope Hits 2007
This song is about lacking money and the strong desire to remedy that situation. Looking at the calendar and the balance of my bank account I'm totally down with that sentiment at this moment.
- Korn - Twisted Transistor - See You On The Other Side
- Smashing Pumpkins - Tonight, Tonight - Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness
Classic Pumpkins. I have yet to decide if I like the newly formed Smashing Pumpkins. Billy Corgan's signature nasal vocals are still there and the band's sound is similar but it just doesn't quite feel like the old band. I'll reserve judgement until I can give the new album a few more listens though.
- Jamiroquai - Bonus Track - Travelling Without Moving
- tobyMac - I'm For You - Portable Sounds
- Hanson - Blue Sky - The Walk
- DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince - Hip Hop Dancer's Theme - He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper
This was the first tape I ever bought back in '88 or '89 I believe. I don't know if it's funny or sad that I still remember a good majority of the songs.
- John Legend - Ordinary People (Live from the House of Blues) - Hello It's Me / Ordinary People EP
- Christina Aguilera - Here To Stay - Back To Basics
- William Orbit - They Live In The Sky - Hello Waveforms
- Heavy D & The Boyz - Don't Curse - Peaceful Journey
- Good Charlotte - Falling Away - The Chronicles of Life and Death
- Mary J. Blige - One (feat. U2) - Reflections: A Retrospective
Every time I hear this song I always find it odd that U2 takes a back seat on a song they made famous. Kind of like Sting singing behind Diddy and Faith Evans performing I'll Be Missing You at the VMA's a few years ago. That being said I like Mary J's version of this classic better than the original.

- Ghostface Killah - Shakey Dog - Fishscale
- The Roots - Long Time (Feat. Peedi Pablo & Bunny Sigler) - Game Theory
- Bone Thugs-N-Harmony - Flow Motion - Strength & Loyalty
Bone has got their staccato groove back on this track and album as a whole. I've really been diggin' it.
- Christina Aguilera - Oh Mother - Back To Basics
- Jurassic 5 - Radio - Feedback
- Fort Minor - Remember the Name - Petrified / Remember the Name EP
- Carlos Santana - Hermes - All That I Am
Does Santana ever sing on his tracks? I can't recall hearing a song from him where there wasn't a guest vocalist. Just an observation. I guess he does his singing through his guitar.
- Mary J. Blige & Method Man - I'll Be There For You / Your'e All I Need To Get By - I'll Be There For You Single
My love of this song has been covered several times before so we'll just move on.
- Colbie Caillat - Midnight Bottle - Coco
Yesterday I said Colbie's voice brought Shania Twain to mind. On this song I hear india.arie. I think I'll start calling Colbie the vocal chameleon.
- Black Eyed Peas - Dum Diddly - Monkey Business
- Interpol - Who Do You think - Out Love To Admire
It felt like Interpol had fallen off their game with their previous album, Antics. If that is indeed the case the band has come roaring back with this new album. I'm thoroughly enjoying listening to it thus far.

- Hawthorne Heights - Speeding Up the Octaves (Demo) - The Silence In Black and White
- Thom Yorke - The Clock - The Eraser
- Kenna - Siren - New Sacred Cow
The New Sacred Cow is getting awfully old. Will there ever be a new Kenna album? My inquiring mind wants to know. It may be time to change the album title to Sacred Cow or Old Sacred Cow.
- Carrie Underwood - Starts with Goodbye - Some Hearts
This song//album is on The Black Negro (I have resigned myself to the iPod's new name because of my wife's refusal to call it by it's God given name, Gordo Negro Sugoi) because my wife loves Carrie Underwood. Not having watched American Idol before this last season I didn't know who she was until I started seeing her sing at every awards show imaginable over the last year or so. She's definitely growing on me. Her voice is incredible and the good looks don't hurt her mass appeal either.
- Hoobastank - Born To Lead - Every Man For Himself
- Jamiroquai - Didjerama - Travelling Without Moving
- AFI - Paper Airplanes (Makeshift Wing) - Sing The Sorrow
This has been the soundtrack of my day so far. Talk about a diverse list of artists and genres. Just further proof of my desire to not be boxed in whether it be intellectually, physically or in my musical preferences. I thought it was going to be an all hip-hop all the time type of day with the way Black Negro came out of the gates. It all balanced out in the end though.
