With the new NBA season upon us I've got basketball fever. I listened to our Memphis Grizzlies on the radio tonight for pete's sake. That's definitely the fever talking. I'm sure it will wear off soon. To stave off the pain of yet another season opening loss (the Grizzlies have never won a season opener in Memphis) I turned on ESPN to pick a little of the the Denver vs. Seattle game. I watched the opening games last night too. One thing I'm liking already in this young NBA season is the Where Amazing Happens ad campaign. It's simple yet powerful. The pictures and words combine with the stirring background music to form a classy, cohesive, compelling message. I like the clips a lot and as Bill Simmons says I don't think I'll get tired of watching them anytime soon. The one below is my current favorite. Where [Ben Wallace's Fro] Happens is classic!

I've been saying that Sam Cassell is funny looking for years. Saying he's down right ugly wouldn't be much of a stretch either. His looks are tailor made for this time of year. Apparently the Detroit Pistons agree. (Stay with the clip until the end. You'll get it.)

I know I'm hatin' but it's all in jest (my wife made me say this because she says my previous comments weren't very nice).
