Eggnog and Fruitcake. If those aren't holiday traditions I don't know what is.

My sweetie is a double threat. She has a smart, intellectual, scientific side (hence the whole future doctor thing). Her other side is curious, creative and artsy craftsy. The two sides come together for a really cool combination.

This picture is a perfect example of it. She sewed the patterns (don't know the real name for them) on the front of her dress. She made her bouquet along with the ones the bridesmaids and junior bridesmaids wore. She made the boutonnières for me and my groomsmen and corsages for our mothers and grandmothers. She put together the garland for the arch you see behind her. The decorations for the seats along the aisle were created by her. I went to Hobby Lobby and Michael's with her more in the months leading up to the wedding than I ever have before (and hopefully ever will again). She's a good sketch artist and has just started to dabble in painting. Once upon a time she wanted to be a fashion designer. She's designed and made dresses for herself and her mother in the past. She also makes hand made dolls. My baby got skills. Don't even get me started on her vocal and musical talents.

Obviously I'm a bit biased but my wife really is very creative and talented. That's one of the things that attracted me to her in the first place.

Been stuck in my head ever since I went to the concert early last month. When we're riding in my wife's car this CD and this song in particular is on heavy rotation.
